The Challenge

Since exploiting Earth wasn't enough, corporations have decided to expand our capitalist ventures to our celestial neighbor Mars. The RoEd Runner has a simple mission: mine as much Obtanium from Mars as possible, and beat the competition!

The RoEd Runner
The field was divided into 16 colored regions, 4 of which were active for mining at any given time. Each team was given their own exclusive zone, and 2 neutral zones where any team could get points. The RoEd Runner was designed to quickly acquire a miner, and steadily navigate to a mining zone to acquire as many points as possible.

Meep meep!

The competition:
Two companies CHK (Red) and (GHI) Blue compete to mine as much Obtanium as possible.

To mine, each robot must place their MINERs (cylinder) in zones for which they have permits to mine (specific colored regions).

The information about permits is transmitted wirelessly to the SPUD, a device that can be queried by the robot via SPI. This device also provides information about the color on which various MINERs are located, and when the competition starts/ends.
